The Mercer Speech Team competed in the Second Annual Sterner Steel City Invitational, hosted by Pittsburgh Central Catholic, on December 19, 2015. This is the second year in a row that the Mercer Speech Team won the tournament sweepstakes in a field of 215 students, representing 20 western Pennsylvania schools. The Mercer team earned 120 points, giving them a 10 point win over the team from Upper St. Clair and an 11 point win over North Allegheny.
