Competitive Spirit Just Misses State Tournament

The Competitive Spirit team travelled to McDowell High School on Saturday, January 9th to compete in the District 10 Championships. Due to the large number of Mercer cheerleaders, the squad competed in the "Medium" school division against Hickory, Oil City, and Villa Maria for the District title.

After the final judges scores were tabulated, the Mercer squad missed the qualifying mark to compete in the PIAA State Tournament in Hershey by only 3 points (out of an overall possible score of 300).

Congratulations to all of the students involved and thank you for representing Mercer High School with pride and class.
