AFTER-SCHOOL 
MUSTANG STAR ACADEMY 
TO BEGIN NEXT WEEK

The Mercer Area School District is teaming up with the United Way of Mercer County to offer an After-School Program for students in grades 6, 7, & 8.

The 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) is a grant funded through the United Way that supports an After-School Program geared towards providing the following services to students:
  • Innovative Academic Enrichment Activities that will assist in the improved performance of students in their efforts to meet local & state achievement standards.
  • Increased skills & interest in Science, Math, & Technology through STEAM & STEM related programs & activities.
  • Character Education programs
  • Career Readiness & the development of connections with local businesses
  • Physical Fitness & Wellness activities

In addition to these programs, students that participate in the MUSTANG STAR ACADEMY will receive assistance with their daily homework assignments.

The MUSTANG STAR ACADEMY will run Monday through Thursday from 
3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. beginning Monday, October 23rd, 2017.

Students that attend the program will receive an after-school snack. Transportation will not be provided. Families will be required to pick up their children from the school at 6:30 p.m. each day that they participate in the program.

If you are interested in participating in this innovative after-school enrichment program please fill out & return the enrollment form that was mailed home last week to either the elementary office (6th grade students) or the middle-high school office (7th & 8th grade students) by Friday, October 20th.
