MUSTANG STAR ACADEMY
INFORMATIONAL MEETING THIS THURSDAY
The Mercer Area School
District will be hosting an informational evening this Thursday (November 16th)
from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the High School Library to provide details regarding a
tremendous after-school opportunity that is available for students in grades 6,
7, & 8.
The 21st Century
Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) is a grant funded through the
United Way that supports an After-School Program geared towards providing the
following services to students:
- Innovative Academic Enrichment Activities that will assist in the improved performance of students in their efforts to meet local & state achievement standards.
- Increased skills & interest in Science, Math, & Technology through STEAM & STEM related programs & activities.
- Character Education programs
- Career Readiness & the development of connections with local businesses
- Physical Fitness & Wellness activities
In addition to these
programs, students that participate in the MUSTANG STAR ACADEMY will
receive assistance with their daily homework assignments.
The program will run after
school Monday – Thursday each week from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
