The Mercer Speech Team made the trip to Pine Richland High School on Saturday, February 27th to compete in the Pennsylvania High School Speech League (PHSSL) State Tournament Qualifier. This competition brought together speakers from Mercer, Butler, Crawford, and Erie counties. Students that placed in either 1st or 2nd place earned a spot in the PHSSL State Tournament, held on April 8th and 9th, at Susquehanna University. Overall, the Mercer Speech Team placed 2nd in overall sweepstakes. Here are the results:
