WEEK OF WELLNESS
AT MIDDLE-HIGH SCHOOL
There were several activities held last week @ the Middle-High School as part of the "Week of Wellness":
1) 8th & 9th grade students took part in a Health Fair during the morning of Thursday, November 17th. Students had the opportunity to spend time at several different stations in the gymnasium & fitness center.
2) Mrs. Sevin's Physiology class had different games & activities for students to participate in during the lunch periods on Friday, November 18th. Students earned tickets for prizes by participating in each activity throughout the cafeteria.
3) A Door Decorating Contest was held during Advisory periods throughout the week. Listed below are the results from the contest:
1st Place: Mrs. Gilmore & Ms. Martin
(Both Mrs. Gilmore & Ms. Martin's Advisory classes will receive a popcorn party from the Pittsburgh Popcorn Co.)
2nd Place: Mrs. Edney
3rd Place: Mr. Gadsby & Mrs. Rowe
Honorable Mention: Mr. Mausser
4) Central Blood Bank sponsored a Blood Drive on Thursday, November 17th from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 47 individuals were able to successfully donate blood during the drive, with 36 of them being 1st time donors. These donations helped nearly 150 patients over the weekend at local hospitals.
